Thank you IPL: Indianapolis Power and Light!

We are happy to announce that IPL: Indianapolis Power and Light Company is a sponsor of the 2009 Irving Circle Summer Concert Series! Indianapolis Power & Light Company's main offices are located at One Monument Circle, P.O. Box 1595, Indianapolis, Indiana 46206-1595

Indianapolis Power and Light Company is the neighborhood's supplier of electrical energy. They have taken on many initiatives to improve our neighborhood, all of Indianapolis, and the entire globe. They are a partner with Indy Parks and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful in the Trees for Tomorrow program, where over 13,000 trees have been planted since 1990. IPL offers customers the opportunity to purchase green power, giving all of us the opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint. And IPL recently broke ground on a 106 megawatt wind farm, providing approximately 29,000 homes with clean, emission-free electricity.

We are happy to announce that Deering Cleaners and Shirley Brothers each will sponsor a concert during the 2009 Irving Circle Summer Concert Series!

Deering Cleaners has a local laundry and dry cleaning location at 1160 N. Arlington Avenue, just north of 10th and Arlington. They are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 6:30pm, and on Saturdays, 8am to 5pm. You can reach them at (317) 356-2471.

Shirley Brothers Mortuaries and Crematory has a local chapel at 5377 E. Washington Street, just west of Ritter and Washington. Shirley Brothers has been committed to providing our community with the same thoughtful, caring and personal service for over 100 years. 2009 Calendar Update

The Greater Greenwood Community Band will be playing our August 15th concert. Complete calendar is listed below...

-Saturday, May 2nd, 9am: the first park clean up date of the year. Bring your tools and gloves. We'll bring drinks, donuts, and lunch.

-Saturday, May 9th, 9am: park clean up rain date.

-Saturday, June 20th: Celebrate Irvington Day! In the morning, we'll be doing a Vintage Sale in the park. If you have any vintage items to donate, please email us at irvingcircle@gmail.com or call 356-3375. At 7pm, we'll have Paul Diebold and company entertain us with our first concert of the summer.

-Saturday, July 18th, 7pm: Audio Diner at Irving Circle Park

-Saturday, August 15th, 7pm: Greater Greenwood Community Band at Irving Circle Park

We are happy to announce that Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza is a sponsor of the 2009 Irving Circle Summer Concert Series! Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza is located at 5646 E. Washington Street, just west of the intersection of Audubon Road and Washington Street, with entrances off of Washington Street and the parking lot in the back. You can reach them at (317) 356-6612.

They have a wonderful menu that includes salads, sandwiches, breadsticks, and original and unique pizzas, including the Po Boy with your choice of shrimp, chicken, or crawfish sprinkled with Old Bay seasoning, with Claus' smoked Cajun sausage, red onion and green pepper. All items are available for delivery (7 days from 11a-2pm and 5pm-close) or carry out. But if you dine in, enjoy the family friendly atmosphere inside or outside on the covered patio. Beer and wine are available.

They are open Sun-Thurs 11am to 9pm, and Fri & Sat 11am to 10:30pm.

Thank you Central ACE Hardware!


We are happy to announce that Central ACE Hardware is a sponsor of the 2009 Irving Circle Summer Concert Series! Central ACE Hardware is located at 1025 N. Arlington Avenue, just north of the intersection of 10th and Arlington, with the entrance located off of 11th Street. You can reach them at (317) 357-8396.

You'll find helpful service from their different departments: paint and sundries, lawn and garden, nursery, hand and power tools, electrical, plumbing, hardware, cleaning supplies, and automotive. Be sure to visit them for all your home improvement needs, including: key cutting, blade sharpening, paint-color matching, glass repair and cutting, pipe cutting and threading, propane exchange, scree repair, and special ordering of more than 65,000 items.

They are open Mon-Fri, 8am to 8pm, Sat 8am to 6pm, and Sun 9am to 5pm.

Spring is in full swing and summer is coming up fast. Here are some things of interest at Irving Circle Park for 2009:
